            A BUFFALOSTYLE

ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF PEACE

This Friday, April 13, Buffalostyle will feature a very special hour of talk radio centered on the life of Sr. Karen Klimczak.  Sr. Karen was the founder of the Hope House, Director of the Bissonette House and the force behind the Non-Violence/Peace Prints sign initiative that has spread throughout Western New York Region.

April 14 marks the one year anniversary of Sr. Karen’s murder at the hands of one of the prison paroles to whom she dedicated her life’s work.   In honor of her life and death, I will be talking to Sr. Karen’s sister, Jean Klimczak, the current director of the Bissonette House Gregory Brice, and Kevin Lett a prison parolee whose life was changed by his experiences at the Bissonette House.

Additionally, I am honored to feature Buffalo musician/song writer David Granville. David has written a song dedicated to Sr. Karen, entitled, “Peaceprints,” which will premiere on this week’s Buffalostyle broadcast.  Joining David will be Bonnie Kane Lockwood and Lynda M. Martin who perform vocals on the recording.

My regular music guest will be Tina Marie Williams, a WNY Christian rock singer/songwriter who definitely brings a new and distinct style to gospel music.  Tina won the 2005 International Kingdom Bound talent search and she has a new CD coming out this week entitled, “Acceptable.”  A portion of the proceeds from sales of this CD will benefit Teen Challenge Women’s Center of WNY, helping women addicted to drugs and alcohol.

If you have questions for this Friday’s show, you can e-mail them in advance at buffalostyle@wnymedia.net.  Or call-in live on Friday between 2 and 3 pm at 886-9696.  And be sure to listen to Buffalostyle—live, or later—at www.wnymedia.net.
